The Gift of The Tortoise tells a story about African animals that are forced to leave their homeland “Ntabazinduna”, which means Mountains of Kings, in search of greener pastures as their land is ravished by drought. In the story we meet selfish Hare who tricks other animals to feed himself until one day he learns a hard lesson when Tortoise outsmarts him.
